trains all of its tower crew members in rescue techniques. It is important
that the best qualified persons be trained to perform rescues in case
of accident. Local EMS, Police and Rescue squads are well trained in everyday
rescue techniques but rarely have any training in evacuation of an injured
person from a communications tower. The safety of our employees demand
that they be trained in tower rescue, and first aid. Each employee of
our company is required to have first aid and rescue training within their
first year of employment. The tower environment is familiar to us and
might not be to another rescuer. It is therefore critical that we know
and practice the skills necessary to avert tragedy. |
