| During the Fall months, wasps swarm on towers. In my 33 years of tower climbing experience I've never been stung while on a tower. It seems that the wasps don't even seem to know the climber is there. Conversely, wasps will sting when defending an active nest. During the summer months, within fifteen feet of the ground, a climber can be stung as he steps off the tower. |
